Dr. Bhuiyan is an Associate Professor by profession at the American University at Cairo. He served as an academic at different capacities in different countries whereby he has developed expertise in the field of Governance, Development Policy and Planning, Public Service Delivery, Nonprofit Management.

Summary of employment history:

'Shahjahan Bhuiyan is Associate Professor of Public Administration at The American University in Cairo’s (AUC) Department of Public Policy and Administration (PPAD). He is also Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Administration in the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP). Bhuiyan is former chair of PPAD. Prior to joining AUC, he served as Dean of the College of Social Sciences at KIMEP University, Kazakhstan. He also taught in the Department of Public Administration at the University of Chittagong and Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. Bhuiyan was a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford University, and the Inaugural Democratic Governance Fellow of UNDP’s Oslo Governance Center.

Accomplishment/achievements:
